About The Position

The Scanning Coordinator maintains store price files, shelf tag accuracy, and signage, and oversees item pricing as well as merchandise additions and deletions. The role also assists customers, maintains a friendly and energetic demeanor, and follows procedural guidelines established by the Store Support Department. Team members are expected to perform their daily responsibilities while focusing on sales and customer service, maintaining a positive attitude, and working as team players.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Adapt to a changing, high-volume retail environment and work in a cross-functional team.
• Take initiative when problems arise and adapt to a variety of situations.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Have strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for working cross-functionally with peers and senior management.
• Have knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Multitask and maintain strong organizational skills.
• Be familiar with Health Department guidelines and regulations relevant to grocery retail.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred 1–2 years of grocery retail experience in Store Support department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in the natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product shelf tags, replacing and updating them as necessary.
• Activate daily price changes in the computer.
• Execute promotions promptly, ensuring sale items are accurately tagged and information is coordinated with department managers.
• Inform Support Staff and the Store Director about scanning inaccuracies and errors.
• Work with customers to fulfill needs, requests, and special orders.
• Respond to customer suggestions and complaints.
• Prepare and submit required paperwork and reports.
• Assist with store cleanliness, including mopping and sweeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
