SAP Warehouse Management (WM)
About The Position
This position maintains the SAP ECC system and related applications supporting manufacturing and distribution operations in the Warehouse Management space. It requires technical experience and the ability to work with users at all levels. The successful candidate will learn the current configuration and customizations in the Smith & Wesson SAP system, evaluate alternative solutions to business issues, and recommend options based on technical and business impacts. The role serves as a functional expert and key support resource for SAP WM and related processes, with secondary support for modules including MM, QM, and PP. It gathers and documents business requirements, develops functional specifications, configures and implements solutions, resolves support and enhancement requests, and works across functional areas to improve business processes and system performance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of applicable experience.
- At least one full SAP life-cycle experience.
- SAP WM configuration experience.
- Experience with Serialization and Equipment Records in SAP.
- Deep understanding of SAP ECC processes, reports, and functionality in Warehouse Management.
- Experience with the functional and technical aspects of interfaces with non-ECC systems.
- Ability to interpret complex system customizations.
- Broad understanding of integration points between SAP modules.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and technical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and process-mapping skills.
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines and commitments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advance notice, and respond to emergencies.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet, query, and database skills.
- Ability to become familiar with the existing SAP configuration and customizations and assess alternative solutions based on technical and business impacts.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the SAP ECC system and applications that support manufacturing and distribution operations in Warehouse Management.
- Serve as a functional expert and key support resource for SAP WM and associated processes, and provide secondary support for modules such as MM, QM, and PP.
- Configure SAP Warehouse Management-related master data.
- Conduct SAP WM implementations from start to finish using best-practice methods and tools.
- Lead the gathering, clarification, and documentation of requirements for application, service, and support requests.
- Analyze and resolve support and enhancement requests.
- Work with customers to analyze business needs and document business requirements.
- Interface with other functional areas to implement cross-functional solutions.
- Recommend SAP-related business process revisions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Gather, define, and document high-level business requirements for process owners, subject matter experts, users, and other stakeholders.
- Develop detailed functional specifications suitable for implementation.
- Implement designs and configure the system as necessary.
- Help ensure high system performance as part of quality assurance and performance processes.
- Maintain regular attendance as defined in company policies.
