About The Position

The Sanitation Hourly employee cleans and sanitizes production areas, performing a variety of sanitation tasks with little supervision. The role involves hands-on, fast-paced work, including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, and hallways, and may require lifting more than 50 pounds. The employee must complete required safety and food safety/GMP training for the job assignment. Work takes place in production and maintenance settings. Conditions may include extreme or cold temperatures, moving machinery, hot water, slippery floors, chemicals, knives, and loud ambient noise. The position requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, or crawling, as well as repetitive hand scrubbing and hose operation. Chemicals must be handled with appropriate training and personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

Be able to stand, walk, bend, and/or crawl for extended periods.
Be able to work in extreme temperatures and around moving machinery, hot water, and slippery floors.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive hand scrubbing and hose operation.
Maintain good attendance and safety records.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting.
