About The Position

The Sanitation role cleans and sanitizes equipment and plant areas, including production lines, floors, and walls. The employee dismantles and reassembles equipment as needed to ensure proper sanitation, and uses high-pressure water and air hoses, chemicals, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment. Duties also include cleaning product off the floor and working throughout plant areas such as grinding, blending, forming, and packing, as well as picking up trash outside. Employees may be asked to perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties.
• Stand, reach, handle, and/or feel continuously (67–100% of the time).
• Walk, lift, carry, push, and/or pull frequently (34–66% of the time).
• Work overhead, twist, climb ladders or stairs, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl occasionally (1–33% of the time).
• Lift and/or move up to 60+ lbs., using team-lift techniques if items are too heavy.
• Hold and operate a high-pressure hose for up to four hours per night while grasping a ball-valve-style nozzle.
