Licensed Salon Manager
About The Position
Hair Cuttery is seeking a Salon Manager to lead salon growth, profitability, team development, and guest experience. The manager is responsible for recruiting stylists, partnering with local beauty schools, coaching and mentoring associates, and leading by example by performing salon services. The role uses data and digital tools, including the Stylist App and Zenoti, to support sales goals, scheduling, and salon reputation. The manager also maintains a safe, clean, and inspiring salon while adhering to State Board and OSHA standards. This position reports to a District Leader and includes a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, five days of eight hours each. Pay is performance-based and may include service and retail commissions and tips.
Requirements
- Cosmetology license in the state where applying.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Basic math skills for cash and inventory.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive salon motions throughout the shift; dexterity is required.
- Ability to work in a salon environment with exposure to hair chemicals, scents, and fumes.
- Commitment to attending all required training and events.

- At least 12 months of experience in a prior leadership role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruit stylists and partner with local beauty schools to build the salon team.
- Lead by example in providing services and delivering a strong guest experience.
- Use data and digital tools, including the Stylist App and Zenoti, to meet sales goals, optimize scheduling, and improve salon reputation.
- Mentor associates using the IGROW model and support their career development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inspiring salon in accordance with State Board and OSHA standards.
- Motivate the team, handle challenging conversations, and communicate through individual development meetings and internal social channels.
- Manage and analyze business figures, including payroll percentages and performance scorecards.
- Perform salon services and model established hair guides.
- Attend required training and events.
