About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager (also called Assistant Salon Leader) supports the Salon Leader in running salon operations while continuing to provide salon services. The role combines hands-on styling with leadership development, team mentoring, guest experience, and business operations. When the Salon Leader is absent, the Assistant Salon Manager leads the salon. The position is full-time, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Current cosmetology license for the state where applying.
Available to work full-time, at least 40 hours per week.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and dexterity to perform salon services precisely.
Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
Strong communication skills.
Bring personal equipment daily.

Responsibilities

Support daily salon operations and manage the appointment book using Zenoti.
Help ensure guests have a positive experience.
Mentor and coach fellow stylists using the IGROW model to support their goals and career development.
Lead by example in delivering the Guest Journey and maintaining a positive, productive salon culture.
Help review performance statistics and support strategic scheduling and profitable salon operations.
Welcome and onboard new employees and introduce them to Hair Cuttery’s culture.
Help ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
Help execute local partnerships and digital marketing campaigns.
Lead the salon when the Salon Leader is absent.
Perform salon services.
