About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager (Assistant Salon Leader) supports the Salon Leader with daily salon operations while continuing to provide services behind the chair. The role helps maintain a positive, productive salon culture, supports guest satisfaction, mentors stylists, and develops business and leadership skills. When the Salon Leader is absent, the Assistant Salon Manager leads the salon.

The position includes managing the appointment book in Zenoti, supporting salon performance and scheduling, helping onboard new team members, and executing local partnerships and digital marketing campaigns. The Assistant Salon Manager also helps ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards. This is a full-time leadership role requiring at least 40 hours per week. Compensation is performance-based and may include service and retail commissions and tips.

Requirements

• Current cosmetology license for the state where applying.
• Ability to work full time, at least 40 hours per week.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and dexterity to perform salon services precisely.
• Basic math skills for inventory and cash-related tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to bring personal equipment daily.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support daily salon operations and manage the appointment book in Zenoti.
• Lead the salon when the Salon Leader is absent.
• Provide salon services while helping maintain guest satisfaction and model the Guest Journey.
• Mentor and coach stylists using the IGROW model to support their goals and career growth.
• Help onboard new team members and introduce them to the company and salon culture.
• Assist with performance metrics and strategic scheduling to support a profitable salon.
• Help ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
• Execute local partnerships and digital marketing campaigns.
