Licensed Assistant Salon Manager
About The Position
The Licensed Assistant Salon Manager at SmartStyle Salon provides leadership and assists the salon manager while delivering exceptional guest service. The role involves understanding guests’ needs, offering quality consultations, and performing requested hair and specialty services efficiently and professionally. The salon is located inside Walmart and is operated by Requis Salons, an independent Regis franchisee. The position includes salon administrative tasks, which may include closing out the system at the end of the day. The schedule is flexible and may include evenings and weekends. The role involves standing, lifting, reaching, bending, and repetitive movements, as well as working around treatment chemicals and fragrances.
Requirements
- Hold a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Be tech savvy and able to perform administrative tasks.
- Be able to read, write, and do basic math.
- Have good eyesight to observe guests’ hair, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Be comfortable standing, lifting, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive movements, including occasionally lifting 10–25 lbs.
- Be comfortable with fragrances and chemicals used in salon treatments.
