About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager (also referred to as Assistant Salon Leader) supports the Salon Leader in running salon operations while continuing to provide salon services. The role combines work behind the chair with leadership development and business responsibilities. When the Salon Leader is absent, the Assistant Salon Manager leads the salon. The position supports daily operations, guest satisfaction, team coaching, scheduling, performance tracking, onboarding, compliance, and local marketing. It is a full-time leadership role requiring at least 40 hours per week. Pay is performance-based and may include service and retail commissions and tips; compensation meets applicable wage laws. Hair Cuttery Family of Brands operates more than 500 salons. The company describes this position as a career path toward leading a salon or becoming a master educator. Requirements

Hold a current cosmetology license for the state where applying.
Commit to a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week.
Have the physical stamina to stand for long periods and the dexterity to perform salon services precisely.
Have a positive attitude, basic math skills for inventory and cash handling, and strong communication skills.
Bring personal equipment to work daily.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support daily salon operations and lead the salon when the Salon Leader is absent.
Manage the appointment book using Zenoti and help ensure guests have a positive experience.
Mentor and coach stylists, including using the IGROW model to support their goals and career growth.
Lead by example in delivering the Guest Journey and maintaining a positive, productive salon culture.
Review performance statistics and assist with strategic scheduling and salon profitability.
Help welcome and onboard new team members.
Help ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
Help execute local partnerships and digital marketing campaigns.
