About The Position

The Salon Director in Training helps drive salon performance, provide superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. The role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The position supports daily salon operations, sales, staffing, inventory, and expense management in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Management and/or sales experience.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to work a five-day week, approximately 35 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the salon’s daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in company operations, including creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
• Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
• Help maintain proper staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
