About The Position
Sun Tan City is seeking a motivated Retail Manager in Training (described in the posting as Salon Director in Training) to help drive salon performance, deliver excellent client service, and maintain operational excellence. The role supervises and develops Tanning Consultants, leads by example, and holds the team accountable for meeting company goals and providing an exceptional client experience. The position monitors daily salon operations, supports sales and revenue goals, maintains a clean and professional salon, and assists the Salon Director with staffing, inventory, reports, expenses, and other salon functions. The schedule is a five-day workweek of approximately 35 to 45 hours per week, depending on hourly or salary status, and requires availability for nights and weekends. The posting advertises base pay of $16.00 per hour or more, with performance and store bonuses bringing average earnings to approximately $20.00 per hour. Earnings of up to $21.00 per hour are not guaranteed and reflect average earnings for management employees who meet performance and training criteria.
Requirements
- Management and/or sales experience is required.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.

- Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
