About The Position
Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to serve clients in a high-energy salon environment. The role focuses on providing professional customer service, building client relationships, understanding client needs, and recommending products and services. Team members also help maintain salon cleanliness and meet minimum sales requirements while working cohesively with teammates and following company policies and procedures. The position may require working independently and alone during shifts as business needs require. Sun Tan City is part of Glow Brands, a family-owned company with approximately 250 salons in 20 states and more than 2,200 employees. The posting advertises base pay of $13.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; average earnings of $15.00 per hour are not guaranteed and depend on meeting performance and training criteria.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to work cohesively with a team in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Build relationships with clients and understand and meet their needs.
- Recommend products and services to clients.
- Meet minimum sales requirements.
- Multi-task, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
- Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
