About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and product and service recommendations in a fast-paced salon environment. Associates help clients choose tanning and wellness options, build positive client relationships, support sales goals, and maintain salon cleanliness. The role involves working both as part of a team and independently during shifts when business needs require. Compensation is $13.00 per hour or more in base pay, with performance bonuses; the posting lists a compensation range of $13.00–$15.00 per hour and notes that $15.00 per hour is an average for team members who meet performance and training criteria, not a guarantee.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients' needs are met.
Build positive relationships with clients and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Maintain minimum sales requirements.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
