About The Position
The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. The role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The position monitors daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment, supports sales and revenue goals, maintains a clean and professional salon, and helps with staffing, inventory, reporting, and expense control. The role works approximately 35 to 45 hours per week over a five-day workweek, depending on hourly or salary status, and requires availability for nights and weekends. The stated pay is a base rate of $16.00 per hour or more, with performance and store bonuses. Average management earnings may be around $20.00 per hour, with earnings up to $21.00 per hour not guaranteed.
Requirements
- Management and/or sales experience is required.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.
- Team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to work a five-day week, approximately 35 to 45 hours per week depending on hourly or salary status.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
- Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the salon's daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
