About the position
The job overview for the Salesforce Product Owner role is to create and develop the vision for the product and the product roadmap for Salesforce. This includes maximizing the business value of the Salesforce product, gathering requirements, and prioritizing work for the Salesforce project team. The Product Owner will also be responsible for managing the Salesforce team, completing system audits, identifying training requirements, and improving processes and workflows. The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a Salesforce.com product owner, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities
- Perform discovery of business needs and document functional requirements
- Translate functional requirements to technical requirements for the Salesforce team
- Create technical documentation using agile project management tools like Jira
- Manage the Salesforce team
- Act as a subject matter expert with a broad knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem
- Conduct regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
- Identify training requirements for new features implemented
- Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
- Set goals for sprints and support the team in reaching them
- Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and workflows
- Look at processes, identify gaps, and work to close them
- Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce developments and find ways to use new technologies and releases to benefit the team
- Design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills and successfully drive projects to completion
- Meet deadlines and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Possess strong data management abilities
- Assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and other applications, systems, and processes
- Hold Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certification
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred

- Proven experience as a Salesforce.com product owner with a strong understanding of the platform, best practices, and functionality
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
- Excellent project management skills and experience in successfully driving projects through to completion with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Strong data management abilities
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
- Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred
