About The Position

The Sales - Retail Counter role provides a superior customer service experience to walk-in customers, including retail and wholesale customers. The position uses inventory software to identify vehicle-specific parts, processes cash and credit transactions through POS systems, coordinates with parts pullers, maintains merchandise displays, and handles customer returns and warranty claims. The role may also involve other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred; college coursework desired.
Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
Two to three years of prior customer service relations preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide immediate, high-quality service to walk-in retail and wholesale customers.
Use inventory software to help customers find exact matches for their vehicles using vehicles on-site.
Manage the front counter and process cash and credit transactions using POS systems.
Communicate with parts pullers to retrieve parts for customers who request that the company pull parts for them.
Set up and maintain displays of popular parts, such as batteries, fluids, and tools, to drive impulse sales.
Inspect parts returned by walk-in customers and verify their condition to process credits or warranty claims.
Assume other duties as assigned.
