About The Position

The Sales - Retail Counter role is responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to walk-in customers. The position provides immediate service to retail and wholesale customers, identifies automotive parts using inventory software and vehicles on-site, and manages counter sales and cash or credit transactions through POS systems. The role also coordinates with parts pullers, maintains physical displays of popular parts, and inspects customer returns to process credits or warranty claims. Other duties may be assigned.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; college coursework desired.
Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
Two to three years of prior customer service relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide immediate, high-quality service to walk-in retail and wholesale customers.
Use inventory software and vehicles on-site to identify exact parts matches for customers.
Manage the front counter and process cash and credit transactions using POS systems.
Communicate with parts pullers to retrieve parts for customers who request that the company pull them.
Set up and maintain displays of popular parts, such as batteries, fluids, and tools, to encourage impulse sales.
Inspect parts returned by walk-in customers and verify their condition before processing credits or warranty claims.
Assume other duties as assigned.
