About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing merchandise, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. The position works under general supervision and follows established procedures while occasionally exercising independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during a shift.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures.
• Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Ability to occasionally repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools, and motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise as required and in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
