About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make buying decisions based on their needs. The position works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending suitable products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
