About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience. The outfitter demonstrates products, maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains pricing and signage, assists with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and stocked. The outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision using established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment, and work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
