About The Position

Carhartt Work in Progress is seeking an experienced Sales Floor Supervisor to assist with overseeing the daily operations of its Silver Lake retail store. The role supports the management team with daily operations and staff management, with an emphasis on creating a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate has retail clothing-store experience in a high-traffic environment and knowledge of areas such as sales, merchandising, reporting, systems operations, and management. The supervisor leads and motivates store associates while helping achieve sales goals, deliver exceptional customer service, and cultivate a positive work environment. Flexible availability is needed to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

3–5 years of retail experience at a retail clothing store in a high-traffic environment (the posting also lists this experience as preferred).
Knowledge and experience with retail business operations and processes, including sales, merchandising, reporting, systems operations, and management.
Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
Interest in contemporary fashion, apparel, and pop culture.
Outgoing, positive, affable demeanor.
Powerful leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
Independent, proactive, and reliable work ethic.
Strong knowledge of apparel fits and fabrications.

Responsibilities

Supervise store staff, including talent supervision, and ensure the store runs smoothly.
Engage and connect with customers to create a positive shopping experience.
Execute on-floor, in-person sales strategies.
Share product knowledge with customers to maximize sales.
Engage with customers to build relationships and brand knowledge.
Maintain knowledge of seasonal collections and current available inventory.
Assist with daily opening and closing tasks to maintain a clean, neat, and tidy store.
Maintain outstanding store condition and the company’s visual merchandising standards.
Remain positive and professional, working with the team to create a great environment for customers and each other.
