About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton El Paso Downtown is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, hands-on Housekeeping Floor Supervisor to support the daily operations of its housekeeping department. The position helps ensure guest rooms meet hotel cleanliness standards, inspections are completed accurately, and housekeeping team members follow established procedures. It plays an important role in maintaining guest satisfaction, supporting room attendants, and ensuring rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is proactive and reliable, takes pride in high cleanliness standards, follows through on room inspections, and understands how housekeeping performance affects guest satisfaction and hotel operations.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of hotel guest room cleaning procedures and inspection standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify cleanliness and presentation deficiencies.
• Ability to coach, train, and motivate team members while maintaining accountability.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the property for extended periods and perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support room attendants to ensure guest rooms are cleaned according to hotel standards and established procedures.
• Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, including vacant-ready rooms, to verify cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and amenity standards.
• Ensure rooms are inspected and approved before being released as ready for guest occupancy.
• Identify cleanliness deficiencies, communicate necessary corrections to room attendants, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
• Monitor daily room assignments, cleaning progress, and room status to support timely room availability.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with daily staffing, assignments, training, and department operations.
• Coach and train housekeeping team members on cleaning techniques, inspection standards, safety procedures, and productivity expectations.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged furnishings, missing items, and other room deficiencies to the appropriate department.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment, and report shortages or replenishment needs.
• Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness standards, brand requirements, workplace safety procedures, and company policies.
• Address guest room cleanliness concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, room status updates, and other required departmental documentation.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive working environment within the housekeeping department.
