About The Position

The Floor Supervisor is part of store leadership at Tommy Bahama and helps create a welcoming, island-inspired shopping experience. The role supports the team in achieving store goals, delivering world-class guest service, and sharing knowledge of the brand’s designs and seasonal trends. The supervisor upholds merchandising and visual standards, sets performance expectations, coaches and develops team members, and helps hire and onboard employees.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of retail experience, including exposure to retail merchandising and visual concepts.
• Experience supervising a team in a management capacity.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• A get-things-done mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a variety of styles.
• Ability to collaborate, identify opportunities, and take initiative.
• Ability to lift and/or move approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to climb ladders occasionally.
• Ability to stand routinely for the duration of a shift, up to 8 hours.
• Availability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising and visual standards to create a relaxed destination for guests.
• Determine performance expectations, provide coaching, and design internal growth programs.
• Communicate brand direction and share product knowledge about current seasonal trends.
• Hire and develop team members and build a collaborative team to drive key results.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
