About The Position

The Sales Floor Supervisor is accountable for driving customer service and profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards and execution, and training associates to carry out sales-building programs. The role oversees customer service and sales activities, merchandise presentation and recovery, omnichannel order processes, and specialty businesses including Fine Jewelry, Mattress, and Window. The supervisor also develops associates and contributes to hiring, performance management, and achievement of store performance standards.

The supervisor is expected to foster teamwork and inclusive relationships, coach and develop associates, communicate expectations, and pursue continuous improvement.

The role is based at West Oaks Mall. The listed pay range is USD $22.00 to $27.50 per hour.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Direct customer service and sales activities, resolve customer issues, model outstanding service, and hold the team accountable for service standards.
• Ensure staff are scheduled appropriately to maximize sales and service.
• Manage merchandise standards through Put to Fixture, SET, and Visual process execution; lead merchandise planning and presentation, including pricing and signing.
• Promote the company merchandise strategy and identify local sales opportunities.
• Oversee sales floor and fitting room recovery, cleanliness, and execution standards.
• Train, mentor, and coach associates on jcp.com pickup-location processes and transaction procedures for delivery and returns.
• Manage Ship from Store, Buy Online Pick Up In Store, and Curbside Pickup orders within prescribed time periods; monitor omnichannel metrics, share reporting, and address issues.
• Drive profitable sales in Fine Jewelry, Mattress, and Window businesses by leading and engaging associates.
• Train specialty associates and support care and protection plans; manage SET processes, planned floor moves, graphics, and Productivity Standards Program processes.
• Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the selling floor to increase sales rate; oversee defective and return-to-vendor/warehouse activities to reduce shrink in specialty businesses.
• Teach, train, and coach associates; partner with the Assistant Manager of Merchandise and Customer Experience Supervisor to source and hire hourly store talent.
• Participate in associate training and development, coach in the moment, and address performance issues.
• Meet established standards for shrink, safety, omnichannel, scheduling efficiency, associate relations, engagement, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
• Develop and prioritize effective short- and long-range plans, delegate work, communicate expectations, and take action to improve results.
