About The Position

The Sales Floor Supervisor is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The supervisor orchestrates truck deliveries and merchandise processing onto the sales floor, trains and mentors Associates, monitors productivity, and coordinates priorities and the flow of goods with the Coordinator on Duty and management. The role also maintains backroom organization and merchandising standards, supports store safety and shrink-reduction programs, and promotes credit and loyalty programs.

Requirements

1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Execute receiving and merchandising standards and ensure Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team.
Engage and interact with customers, maintain a clean and organized store, and model exceptional customer service.
Promote a positive internal and external customer experience and a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck deliveries and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure the efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy, signage standards, and backroom organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates, and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
