About The Position

Talbots is hiring a Sales Associate to provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience, promote products, and build relationships with customers and the brand. The associate supports store business and the management team, uses fashion and product knowledge to style customers, and contributes to sales and service goals. This is a regular, part-time position at the Twelve Oaks store in Novi, Michigan, with open availability of 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and to lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
Open availability for 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
Assist the management team in building store business.
Use service enhancers, including active use of Concierge, to build strong relationships.
Serve multiple customers at a time and handle simultaneous tasks or projects.
Stay informed about fashion trends, new arrivals, and product details such as fit and color.
Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers’ needs.
Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to improve performance.
Achieve sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
