Sales Director US

Sharegain•New York, NY

About The Position

Sharegain is hiring a senior, quota-carrying salesperson to join its team in New York. This is an individual-contributor role, not a management position, with end-to-end ownership of sales deals and substantial autonomy. The role focuses on selling Sharegain’s securities-lending platform to private banks, brokers, and wealth managers, working directly with senior decision-makers to understand their businesses and build a clear commercial case for a complex, regulated product. The position offers the opportunity to sell a differentiated product in a developing category and to help grow the commercial function as part of a small, dynamic US team. Sharegain describes its mission as democratizing capital markets by building a more liquid world.

Requirements

  • Proven track record closing large, complex enterprise deals with financial institutions, involving long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and six- or seven-figure contracts; candidates should be able to describe specific wins and why they succeeded.
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience; the company emphasizes deal experience over the dates on a CV.
  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate a consultative discovery method.
  • Strong ownership and self-awareness, including the ability to learn from unsuccessful deals.
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior decision-makers, grounded in substantive expertise.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses with no disclosures, or commitment to obtain the licenses within the first few months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Own sales deals end to end, including pipeline, forecast, and an accountable sales target.
  • Win new institutional clients, including online brokers, private banks, and wealth managers that do not currently offer securities lending.
  • Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers, including CEOs, COOs, and heads of business lines.
  • Conduct thorough discovery to understand institutions’ approaches to client assets, potential revenue opportunities, and barriers to adoption.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deals through product, operations, compliance, and technology while maintaining momentum across long sales cycles.
  • Explain the technical, regulated product in commercial terms that resonate with both CEOs and desk heads.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to sell a differentiated product in a category being redefined.
  • Opportunity to join a small, dynamic US team, have a seat at the table, and influence the growth of the commercial function.
