About The Position

BusPlanner is seeking a Texas-based Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help accelerate the company’s expansion in Texas, a fast-growing U.S. market. This remote role works closely with a regional Account Executive to generate pipeline, build relationships with school districts, qualify opportunities, and help advance deals toward closure. The SDR will represent BusPlanner in person across the state, including at customer meetings, regional industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Regular in-state travel is expected. BusPlanner provides transportation management software to K–12 school districts. The SDR will engage transportation directors and other school district decision-makers, learn about their operational challenges, and introduce them to BusPlanner’s platform. The role also contributes to Texas territory planning, account prioritization, outbound campaigns, and experimentation with prospecting approaches. Strong performers may have the opportunity to advance to an Account Executive role within 6–9 months, with mentorship and support from Sales leadership.

  • Be organized and tech-savvy, able to manage prospects, follow up reliably, and use CRM and sales automation tools effectively.
  • Be curious and willing to learn about the K–12 transportation industry, BusPlanner’s customers, and its software.
  • Be coachable and collaborative, actively seeking feedback and working closely with an experienced Account Executive.
  • Handle rejection well, maintain a positive attitude, and take accountability for results.
