Sales Development Representative (Inbound)

Panorama Education
•$59,500 - $87,500

About The Position

At Panorama, the Senior SDR on the Inbound team is the first point of contact for K-12 school and district leaders who have expressed interest through demo requests, website chats, content downloads, marketing campaigns, or other scored inbound engagement. The role bridges Marketing and Sales by turning high-intent interest into qualified pipeline and helping Account Executives connect with promising buyers while their interest is highest. The SDR responds quickly to inbound leads, builds rapport, qualifies needs and buying context, and schedules valuable meetings with decision-makers. The role also partners with Sales leadership, Account Executives, and Marketing to improve inbound processes, lead quality, messaging, and campaign performance. Success is measured by activity volume, lead-to-meeting conversion, qualified meetings held, pipeline generated, and meeting-to-opportunity conversion.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales development or business development experience, ideally in SaaS, with a demonstrated record of converting inbound interest into qualified pipeline.
  • Strong qualification skills, including asking effective questions, listening closely, assessing fit, and routing prospects appropriately.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and motivated, with the ability to identify potential in the inbound lead pool.
  • Able to prioritize and manage a high volume of inbound leads without sacrificing quality or allowing leads to age out.
  • Warm, consultative communication style; able to build rapport quickly and handle objections through problem-solving.
  • Process-driven and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow workflows, maintain accurate CRM records, and capture details needed by Account Executives.
  • Ability and interest in using technology, including AI and automation tools, to improve workflow efficiency and sales outcomes.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback, self-starting, organized, and interested in understanding why leads do or do not convert.

Nice To Haves

  • K-12 education or EdTech experience; this is a plus but is not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Gong.io, HubSpot, Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, especially for lead-routing and speed-to-lead workflows.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes in K-12 education.

Responsibilities

  • Engage new inbound leads within minutes, including through real-time website chats, and convert conversations into qualified opportunities.
  • Achieve daily call and talk-time activity targets while combining fast inbound response with personalized follow-up.

  • Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives to maintain consistent inbound handling and follow account-ownership rules.
  • Partner with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, identify upstream issues, and improve targeting and campaign performance.
