About The Position

Backcountry Group Sales connects our brands to the business community, serving corporate, medical, university, military, construction, hospitality, and other industry groups. This B2B program is growing and needs a driven, outbound-focused rep to build pipeline and fuel that growth. As Sales Development Representative, Group Sales, you will own the top of the funnel — prospecting, outreach, and qualification — running outbound campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn to identify and engage prospective group accounts. This role is a proven path into Account Management: reps who master outbound prospecting and consistently deliver qualified pipeline are the first considered as Account Manager openings come up. This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of outbound selling experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort making high volumes of outbound calls and emails, and staying motivated through repetitive prospecting work
  • Creativity in how you approach outreach — you don't rely on the same script
  • General understanding of B2B buying processes and outbound principles
  • Comfort with CRM and sales tech (Pipedrive, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar)
  • Coachable — open to feedback and eager to improve
  • Flexible across time zones — this role can be worked from any US or Canadian time zone

  • Hand off qualified opportunities to an Account Manager with clean, complete context for a smooth close
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline and activity targets
