About The Position

The Sales Consultant helps customers select new and pre-owned vehicles and learn about vehicle features, accessories, safety, efficiency, services, and financing options. The role presents vehicles in an informative and appealing manner, supports sales and delivery, and builds ongoing customer relationships to encourage repeat and referral business. Candidates should be customer-service oriented, professional, dependable, and able to work toward goals with limited direct supervision. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid, unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Help customers select vehicles and explain model options, features, value-added products and services, and purchasing and financing options in accordance with dealership policies.
Conduct vehicle test drives while ensuring speed limits and other rules of the road are followed.
Facilitate vehicle delivery by clearly explaining vehicle and feature operation, warranty, and servicing requirements.
Maintain accurate sales documentation.
Negotiate and close sales in a clear, concise, and ethical manner.
Maintain current knowledge of vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions.
Attend required staff meetings, training, and educational classes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
