About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Associate for its Lynndale Shoppes store in Greenville, North Carolina. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, promoting products, building customer relationships, and supporting store sales and service goals. Associates use fashion and product knowledge to help customers put together outfits, stay informed about new arrivals and trends, and assist multiple customers while completing projects and operational tasks. The position also involves supporting the management team and participating in coaching and learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Be able to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and answer the phone.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support service enhancers and build strong customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at a time, multitask, and handle projects simultaneously.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize individual performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including clienteling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
