About The Position

Talbots is seeking a temporary, part-time Sales Associate for its Greenville, North Carolina store. The role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience, promoting products, building customer relationships, and supporting store business and sales and service goals. Associates use fashion knowledge and product expertise to help customers create outfits and find items that meet their needs. The position also includes greeting customers, answering phones, assisting with store operations, and completing assigned projects.

• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and/or answer the phone.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support service enhancers that build strong relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at once, multitask, and handle projects simultaneously.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize individual performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned operational projects, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
