About The Position

Talbots is seeking a Sales Associate to provide an exceptional customer service experience, promote products, and build relationships with customers and the brand. The associate supports store business and the management team, uses fashion and product knowledge to help customers create outfits, and contributes to sales and service metrics. The role also includes operational projects such as filling orders, replenishment, and recovery. This is a regular part-time position with an expected availability of 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Availability for 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Use service enhancers, including Concierge, to build strong customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at a time, multitask, and handle projects simultaneously.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
