About The Position

Talbots is hiring a part-time Sales Associate Key for its Cool Springs Galleria Mall store. The role provides customer service and fashion guidance, promotes products and builds customer relationships, supports store business and operational excellence, and may lead or supervise others and open or close the store. The position requires flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
• Comfort with climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products and to lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.
• Technological aptitude to navigate POS, computer, iPad, and handheld systems.
• Flexible availability based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to individual and team goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and handle simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion details.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers’ needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
• Communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other relevant information to management.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including Talbots Classic Awards.
• Participate in learning opportunities and apply direction, coaching, and feedback to improve individual performance.
• Support operational excellence and manage inventory according to policies and procedures, including filling orders, recalls, recovery, replenishment, and reticketing.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
• Lead or supervise others on occasion and open or close the store.
• Understand customer needs and wants through intentional conversation.
