About The Position

The Sales Associate at Cosmoprof focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience by advising customers on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, nails, and other beauty products. Cosmoprof provides product knowledge and training; the associate brings passion and personality to support customers throughout their beauty experience. The role involves building customer relationships, recommending products, promoting offers and loyalty enrollment, completing transactions, maintaining the store environment, and communicating inventory issues. The company offers a range of schedules and hours to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals, fumes, and odors.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers of current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Read and explain product labels.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
