About The Position

The Inside Sales Support Specialist assists the outside sales team by processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving order-related issues. The position may also identify prospective customers, make cold calls, and contribute to lead generation. It requires organizational, communication, and customer service skills to support internal and external stakeholders. The role is based at Wood Fruitticher Grocery Co Inc in Irondale, Alabama. It involves working in a collaborative office environment with regular communication with outside sales staff and other departments. The position requires sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 15 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer.
Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Resolve order issues, including discrepancies, delays, and product availability concerns.
Coordinate with outside sales and internal departments to support timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Assist customers with inquiries about products, pricing, and order status.
Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Provide administrative support to the outside sales team.
Support follow-up activities for ongoing sales efforts.
Research and identify prospective customers, particularly restaurant locations not currently in the customer base.
Make cold calls to introduce the company’s products and services.
Forward sales opportunities to the outside sales team for further action.
