About The Position

The Sales Associate is a part-time, hourly role responsible for handling store sales activities, facilitating purchases, and providing customer service. The position supports an engaging shopping experience by assisting customers, executing sales practices, maintaining store presentation, and completing operational tasks in a retail sales environment. The role may require up to 20 hours per week, with weekends and evenings as needed.

Requirements

No retail experience is necessary.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, and regularly talk and hear; frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 months of retail experience is a plus.
Knowledge of retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer entering the store.
Execute the Five Steps to a Sale at every opportunity.
Offer current promotions and special offers.
Operate the Point of Sale system accurately.
Provide comprehensive service using calendars.com, email marketing, and in-store special orders.
Maintain a store environment that meets visual merchandising standards, engages customers, and encourages purchases.
Receive and place new shipments.
Reset features and promotions as directed.
Complete regular housekeeping tasks.
