About The Position

The Sales Associate is a part-time hourly role responsible for handling store sales activities, facilitating purchases, and providing customer service. The role reports to the Store Manager and includes assisting customers, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining the store environment, and supporting merchandising and inventory activities. The position is based in a retail store environment and offers pay of $14.00 per hour, up to 20 hours per week. Weekend and evening availability may be needed.

Requirements

No retail experience is necessary; at least three months of retail experience is a plus.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Ability to talk and hear regularly.

Nice To Haves

At least three months of retail experience.
Knowledge of retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer entering the store.
Execute the Five Steps to a Sale at every opportunity.
Offer current promotions and special offers.
Operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
Provide comprehensive service using calendars.com, email marketing, and in-store special orders.
Maintain a store environment that meets visual merchandising standards, engages customers, and encourages purchases.
Receive and place new shipments.
Reset features and promotions as directed.
Complete regular housekeeping tasks.
