About The Position

The Sales Associate is a part-time, hourly retail position responsible for handling store sales activities, facilitating purchases, and providing customer service. The role also helps maintain the store environment through visual merchandising, receiving and placing shipments, resetting features and promotions, and completing housekeeping tasks. The position works in a retail store environment and may involve working evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

No retail experience is necessary.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, use hands and fingers, and move distances within and between locations.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 months of retail experience.
Knowledge of retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer when they enter the store.
Execute the Five Steps to a Sale at every opportunity.
Offer current promotions and special offers.
Operate the Point of Sale system accurately.
Provide comprehensive service using calendars.com, email marketing, and in-store special orders.
Maintain a store environment that meets visual merchandising standards, engages customers, and stimulates purchases.
Receive and place new shipments.
Reset features and promotions as directed.
Complete regular housekeeping tasks.
