Full Time - Sales Associate - Plumbing - Day
About The Position
The Sales Associate provides customer service in Lowe’s Plumbing department, welcoming customers and helping them find products and services for home improvement projects. The role involves listening to customers, answering questions, helping locate and select merchandise, occasionally loading merchandise, organizing and replenishing shelves, and ensuring customer needs are met. Associates may also prepare merchandise for customers, process orders and deliveries, guide customers through shopping or checkout, and cross-train in other store areas. Duties may vary by department and hiring needs.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as plumbing.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
- Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs, such as cutting and threading pipe.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
