About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you provide friendly, professional service and help customers find products and services for home improvement projects. The role is in the Plumbing department and involves welcoming and assisting customers, locating and handling merchandise, replenishing shelves, processing orders and deliveries, and preparing merchandise according to customer needs. Associates may also cross-train in other store areas and help customers through shopping or checkout. Daily responsibilities may vary by department.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as plumbing.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
Replenish merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and down-stocking supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs, such as cutting and threading pipe.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
