About The Position

Every Huck’s Market Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the profitability of the store. Associates provide fast, friendly customer service and maintain high standards for store cleanliness and appearance. The position may be full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly, including through the gasoline intercom, and provide courteous service according to company standards.
Maintain store appearance and ensure the store is open and ready for business during all hours.
Resolve customer conflicts using the company’s MAKE IT RIGHT method.
Follow the company Vision/Mission Statement, applicable laws, work schedules, policies, and operating guidelines.
Perform tasks assigned by the Store Manager and report sales, cash, operating, personnel, policy, and maintenance issues as appropriate.
Participate in company contests and use suggestive selling techniques.
Complete shift checklists, record hours worked, ring all sales, and accurately record voids, refunds, and price overrides.
Treat coworkers and customers with dignity and respect and comply with the Company Responsible Retailing policy.
Follow cash-handling, vendor check-in, shift-change, register, change-fund, safe-security, and other asset-protection procedures.
Keep coolers, drink boxes, shelves, and displays stocked and fronted; clean and maintain equipment and prepare high-margin products as directed.
Use correct merchandise pricing and suggestive-selling techniques as directed by the Store Manager.
Keep floors, windows, shelves, counters, gas pumps, and the parking lot clean; check refrigeration equipment at least once per shift and report maintenance problems promptly.
Follow ladder, lifting, and wet-floor-sign procedures and promptly report accidents to the Store Manager and corporate office.
Promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app, explain its benefits, monitor transactions for potential misuse, and help customers sign up and use the app.
