About The Position

The Sales Associate at Cosmoprof focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience and helping customers with their hair and beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. The role builds customer relationships, offers product recommendations, shares information about promotions and loyalty programs, and supports store presentation and transactions. Cosmoprof provides product training and education. Schedules and hours vary to suit different needs, but employees must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals, fumes, or odors.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
