About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with excellent customer service as the primary function. Duties may include greeting customers, cashier responsibilities, answering product-related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties assigned by the manager. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to meet federal regulations for firearm sales and must have strong knowledge of firearms and firearm sales. The role is performed in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet federal regulations for firearm sales.
Strong knowledge of firearms and firearm sales.
Excellent customer service skills.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting are required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers shopping in the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Process customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
