About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout a retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product questions, cashiering, assembling products, housekeeping, and other tasks assigned by the manager. The Sporting Goods Sales Associate should have firearms knowledge and be able to accurately complete required FFL procedures for firearm sales. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The position is in a retail store environment and may involve cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Excellent customer service skills.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting.
Knowledge of firearms and ability to accurately complete required FFL procedures for firearm sales.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for firearm sales is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
