About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout a retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product questions, cashiering, assembling products, housekeeping, and other tasks assigned by management. This role involves sporting goods and firearms sales; applicants must be at least 21 years old to meet federal firearms sales regulations and have strong knowledge of firearms and firearms sales. The pay rate is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position is based in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old to meet federal regulations for firearms sales.
Strong knowledge of firearms and firearms sales.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
