About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout a retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, cashiering, product assembly, housekeeping, and other tasks assigned by the manager. This role involves sporting goods and firearms sales. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to meet federal regulations for firearms sales and must have strong knowledge of firearms and firearms sales. The listed pay rate is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience. The role is performed in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet federal regulations for firearms sales.
Strong knowledge of firearms and firearms sales.
Excellent customer-service skills.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with customer-service questions while they shop.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
