About The Position

The e-Commerce Sales Associate interacts with customers online, over the phone, and in person to guide them through a vehicle purchase in AutoNation’s no-haggle sales environment. The role involves responding to leads promptly, answering questions, sharing information, and helping customers move from initial phone or internet contact to an in-store experience.

The Associate helps customers select a vehicle, discusses terms and payment options suited to their lifestyles, budgets, and expectations, and closes sales. They provide an exceptional experience before and after purchase, follow up to ensure customer satisfaction, and help transition customers to the Service department to support their ownership experience. This is a commission-based role, estimated at $2,000–$14,000 per month.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Drive to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to help people and exceed expectations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience, preferably retail.
• Sales or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer leads in a timely fashion.
