About The Position
Kontoor Brands is seeking a temporary, part-time Sales Associate in Canutillo, Texas. The role supports an excellent in-store customer experience by engaging customers, learning their needs, recommending products, assisting in fitting rooms, and promoting the rewards program. The associate learns about products and trends, works toward personal sales targets, and contributes to overall store performance. The position also involves maintaining visual merchandising standards and a clean, organized, well-stocked sales floor; assisting with store operations and assigned opening or closing procedures; processing transactions and handling cash; following company policies; responding to injuries; and participating in loss prevention activities. The role requires clear communication, reliable attendance, and a flexible schedule that meets business needs. Minimum availability is 12 hours per week, including one weekend day.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be available to work at least 12 hours per week, including one weekend day.
- Must arrive on time for scheduled shifts and have a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
- Ability to operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to push and pull full merchandise racks.
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve and restock merchandise and maintain store cleanliness.
- Ability to perform occasional manual labor to assemble displays or rearrange the store layout.
- Vision to read labels accurately, assist customers, and perform detail-oriented tasks.
- Ability to use fine manipulation and grasping to sort and organize clothing, including hanging, folding, and arranging by color or size.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service that meets retail and company standards.
- Initiate conversations with customers, build relationships, identify interests, and suggest appropriate products.
- Assist customers in fitting rooms.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences, use suggestive selling, and encourage purchases.
- Promote the rewards program and achieve weekly loyalty sign-up goals.
- Learn about new products and trends and provide information and advice about product performance, features, and specifications.
- Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist with daily store operations, including assigned opening and closing procedures.
- Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
- Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
- Respond quickly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
- Participate in loss prevention audits and comply with loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
- Use store equipment and technology, including registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
- Move throughout the store to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
- Lift and carry merchandise, push or pull merchandise racks, and perform tasks involving reaching, bending, crouching, and manual store labor.
